Permai Psychiatric Hospital, Tampoi, Johor

This 724 bed government psychiatric hospital is located on a 139 acre site in Tampoi, Johor Darul Takzim. Central to the planning and design is the focus on the patients and their needs; to provide a setting that can support, maintain and improve the healing process.

The proposed environment is communal, cheerful and non-institutional. The architecture is tropical, a natural response to the climate that is also familiar and understandable. The hospital development comprise of low rise buildings clustered with courtyard, verandahs and abundant landscaping.
